The book illustration, the fifteen line prints, the four mezzotints, and two etchings shown here above, right and left, are all contemporary with Monamy's life, and must be regarded as indisputably authentic guides to his paintings in oil. The print below was published the year after his death, drawn by Swaine after his last painting, and can be included in the canon. Click on pictures for discussion.
