Seems to add up to 70. Which of us can't count ?

This selection convinces more than the range supplied by Google, because these paintings are in public collections, so that cuckoos touted by dealers and auctioneers are excluded. A number of pictures of undoubted authenticity, however, held in private collections, or elsewhere, such as in Painter's Hall, Waterman's Hall, or the Byng Collection, are absent. Easily the best guide to authentic works by Monamy and his studio are the prints inscribed with his name which were executed and sold during his lifetime. These compositions are ones which he indubitably would take credit for, and they are much unlike those paintings of faulty attribution which have accumulated round the erroneous and ill-informed descriptions of his manner, slowly developed during the centuries since his death.

There are too many pictures for them all to be remarked on, so some are picked out below for comment.

1.   2.   3. The figures obviously not by Monamy, but the attriubtion is intriguing.  4.   5.   6.  7.   8. Sticks out like a sore thumb. This is a classic "Leemans", or "Leemans"; always assuming such a painter ever existed. Certainly NOT a Monamy, anyway. 9.   10.   11.   12.   13.   14.   15. A personal favourite: wonderfully spirited overdoor.  16.   17.   18.   19. Little chance of this being by Monamy. See here.   20.   21.   22.   23.   24.   25.   26.   27.   28.   29.   30.   31. If this wretched daub is by Monamy, it must have been painted when he was about eight years old. Incredible that it should be attributed to him.  32.   33.   34.   35.   36. Monamy and Sailmaker ? Weird attribution.   37.   38. Definitely, yes. One of two versions known.   39.   40.   41.   42. Yes, definitely, because of the print; although duplication (no 47) re-inforces probability of studio assistance.  43.   44. This mess could be by anybody.   45.   46.   47.   48.   49.   50.   52.   53.   54.   55.   56.   57.   58.   59.   60.   61.   62.   63.   64.   65. Seems highly unlikely.   66.   67.   68.   69.   70.   .
